Dr. Cecilia DeCook, M.D.

Dr. DeCook has been practicing at LFM since 1998. She enjoys the full range of family practice and has a special interest in women’s health. She is a graduate of Michigan State University, and the University of Michigan Medical School, earning her MD in 1988. She completed her residency in family practice at Providence Hospital in Southfield, Michigan.

Having raised three opinionated children to adulthood, she and her husband have been enjoying the empty nest. Her husband, Daniel, also practices here in Holland as a general surgeon.

Together, they have grown their interest in international medicine and try to take one or two trips per year to help out at mission hospitals in Togo and Bangladesh. When Dr. DeCook is not actively caring for patients, she enjoys teaching Sunday School, reading and all kinds of outdoor activities, especially tandem biking with her husband. The thing she enjoys most about working at LFM is the spirit of teamwork to provide the best care for our patients.
